April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. A time when communities across America come together and raise awareness of the 315,806 children who were helped by an advocacy center in 2014. Of those children, 65% were involved in sexual abuse, 37% were not old enough to attend kindergarten, and 92% knew their perpetrator.

Come out April 1st at noon and help us plant pinwheels with Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse and community volunteers on the corner of Emma Ave. and 71B. We are planting 552 pinwheels, the number of children that came to the CSC last year. 242 of those children live in Springdale.

Or come out on April 2nd where we will be planting pinwheels at Farmington City Hall at 1:00pm with Mayor Penn and at the Fayetteville Boys & Girls Club at 3:30pm with Mayor Jordan.

Shop Maude Boutique in-store on online the entire month of April and they will donate 20% of your purchase back the the CSC! Enter code “CSC” when shoping online and say CSC when checking out at the register in-store.

Be sure to eat at Smitty’s Garage on Joyce in Fayetteville on Tuesday, April 7th from 5:00pm – close. 10% of all food and drink orders will go to the CSC.

Educate yourself and others. Stand up and speak out against child abuse!!! ‪#‎DreamsWorthSaving‬
