#SpotlightSunday with CSC Board President, Chris Thornton

Why do you volunteer for the CSC Board? Because our children should have every chance to be all they were created to be even after facing abuse. They deserve the opportunity to heal and grow.

What have you learned by being a CSC Board Member? The staff are true heroes to face what they do each day and keep coming back. They are stronger than I am! Plus it is amazing to see all the incredible work that happens from our little center.

What is your vision for the CSC? A new expanded space where the staff has the room and resources to help those kids who have been abused, but also to have more opportunities to share what the center does to spread the word in our community.

What is one thing you wish the community knew about the CSC? The hearts of the staff to help those kids who have been victims of abuse, but also their passion to do all they can to stop the abuse from happening in the first place. And that they are heroes!

What makes you smile? Realizing how blessed I am to be married to my wife and be the dad to my son and daughter. Plus running, cooking, and Uganda.
